Featured Speaker Bios:
Larry Fulton primarily contributes to Forrester's offerings for the Enterprise Architecture professional. He is a leading expert in service-oriented architecture (SOA), SOA governance, enterprise architecture, and enterprise middleware. Larry's primary research areas are SOA governance, SOA repositories, and enterprise service bus (ESB).
Larry spent 14 years at United Parcel Service, most recently as a principal enterprise architect, where he was involved in a broad range of application design, architecture, and infrastructure efforts. He piloted and chaired the company's internal "Architecture Summit" forum and was instrumental in the development of its enterprise architecture program. Larry was a key evangelist and designer in the creation of much of the middleware and related infrastructure supporting the company's package handling, tracking, and delivery. Earlier in his career, Larry developed custom laboratory robotic systems and factory-floor monitoring applications at Hudson Controls Group, and was a systems integrator at Identification and Security Systems.
Larry has a B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in computer and systems engineering.
Frank Martinez is a recognized expert in the area of distributed, enterprise application and infrastructure platforms. Mr. Martinez is focused on driving development of scalable service-oriented infrastructure software that integrates business processes and information enterprise-wide. Mr. Martinez's reputation as a technological visionary is demonstrated by his record of bringing innovative and commercially successful software solutions to market. He has had operating roles as a senior executive of several VC-backed firms, and was instrumental in building Intershop Communications into a multi-billion dollar public company in less than three years. Mr. Martinez was recently named an InfoWorld Innovator by InfoWorld magazine and has also been named one of 25 leading IT innovators by CRN.
Martin Brodbeck joined Pfizer in February 2001 as a Senior Manager working in the PGP Application Architecture Group where he helped define and implement architecture strategies and capabilities for the marketing and medical organization. In 2003, Martin was promoted to Director where he worked on defining architecture capabilities across the entire pharmaceutical line aimed at integrating information and business processes.
Prior to joining Pfizer Inc., Martin was a Vice President at Merrill Lynch in the Enterprise Architecture Group for the Private Client Business where he worked on defining the group’s e-commerce architecture. Before joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Brodbeck was the Assistant Vice President for Architecture at Deutsche Bank were he worked on designing and developing the firms institutional trading platform for its fixed income business.
Martin holds a BA from the University of Richmond and an MS from the Stevens Institute of Technology
