According to many BPM industry experts, only 20% of all business processes can be modeled in a structured way. The other 80% of all 'work' is performed within the dynamic, unstructured world of emails, phone calls, instant messages and face-to-face meetings.
How can organizations leverage the value of structured BPM - visibility, control, accountability, etc. - in the dynamic, unstructured world where most work gets done?
Forrester Analyst Colin Teubner will discuss the challenges organizations currently face as they operate in today's dynamic world of noise, propagated by email overload, overabundant content, limited exposure to subject matter experts, no dynamic process guidance, etc. Colin will also discuss a recent movement among some visionary BPM vendors to merge ad-hoc, dynamic processes with structured processes. The result is visibility, control and productivity across ALL work that happens in an organization, not just the 20% of structured work.
Then, HandySoft Vice President of Marketing, Scott Byrnes, will provide a brief example of how a BPM application can merge dynamic and structured processes in the context of a real-world business scenario.
