Jorge Mercado has more than 12 years of experience in systems architecture and design, with an impressive record of success in delivery of Service Oriented Architecture. He presently serves and the SOA Architect and Lead Software Engineer at MedicAlert Foundation, where he plays a leading role in the healthcare pioneer's ongoing adoption of service oriented systems. Prior to MedicAlert, Jorge was the Solutions Architect at Zantaz, a global provider of enterprise-class software and on-demand solutions for Information Retention and Discovery Management. Jorge ran a successful consulting practice that delivered Microsoft and IBM solutions. Prior to that, in his work as a Microsoft consultant, he was responsible for the architecture and implementation of client/server solutions at several large enterprise accounts. Jorge has also served as Solutions Architect for InfoImage, Groupware Specialist for Vanstar and Lotus Note/Domino Developer for IBM Global Services.
Sean Fitts plays a lead role in setting the product roadmap and technical vision for the company's pioneering SOA management solutions. Prior to AmberPoint, Sean co-founded CrossWeave, which was acquired by AmberPoint in 2002. At CrossWeave, Sean held president and CTO positions and was responsible for product development.
Prior to CrossWeave, Sean held positions as lead architect and engineer at Forte Software. During his tenure at Forte, he guided the overall architecture of the SynerJ product suite, an environment used to construct applications based on the Java2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) standard, managing the design and implementation of its application assembly features. Sean has also held positions as senior software engineer at Sybase and Management Dynamics. He has a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from Princeton University, has been awarded a patent, and has another pending.
L. Frank Kenney is a research director in Gartner Research, where he is responsible for research in business-to-business integration software, strategies, methodologies and technologies including EDI, FTP and XML. He also is responsible for research in Web services frameworks and infrastructure. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Kenney held a management position with a major media advertising firm, where he oversaw all process of data and secure file distribution as well as communication logistics to worldwide franchises. Additionally, he was responsible for portal creation and maintenance, allowing end users easy Internet-based access to custom advertising productions. Previous to that, he supervised data center help desk and systems support for Executive Business Group, Inc.
Frank has twenty four years of industry experience and has been recognized with Gartner's Pyramid of Innovation Award, Gartner's Research Innovation Award for Research Excellence Education. He is a graduate of the University of Tampa, where he majored in English, and the Center for the Media Arts, where he majored in musical instrument digital interface technologies and media content creation and distribution.
