Alan Tam - As product marketing manager for the Enterprise and Development Business Unit at Adobe Systems, Tam helps drive product direction by acting as the voice of the customer within Adobe. Specifically, Tam is focused on AdobeŐs Process Management Document Service (PMDS) for the enterprise. He frequently meets with customers to understand their business requirements and pain points. Tam uses this input to help Adobe align PMDS with the needs of its customers, and to identify new market opportunities.
Tam joined Adobe in 2003 after spending five years with Cardiff Software, a firm that specialized in content capture and business-process automation. Tam was a product marketing manager. Prior to Cardiff, Tam held various marketing positions at I-Bus Corp. He has also been an active member of the Business Forms Management Association (BFMA) for the past seven years.
Tam is a frequent public speaker, including regular speaking appearances at BFMA, AIIM and FOSE events. He has also spoken at trade shows worldwide, participated in panel discussions, and often talks with the press and industry analysts. His areas of expertise include Java, PDF, XML and electronic forms.
Tam earned a BachelorŐs degree in management science from the University of California, San Diego.
