Shawn Furgason is the Manager of Web Delivery for Rockwell Collins, a global leader in the design, production and support of communication and aviation electronics for the commercial and military markets. Shawn has over 16 years of information technology experience, in sectors such as Health Care, Telecommunications and Aerospace and Defense. He is currently responsible for Rockwell Collins enterprise wide strategy for Portals, Web Content Management, Collaboration Tools and Service Oriented Architecture. Shawn's team lead the implementation of a secure XML web services architecture that has been deployed to provide real time access to customer repair status and repair initiation transactions. This architecture forms the basis for all new portal and system to system interactions with Rockwell Collins information systems.
