Featured Speaker Bios:
Ashesh Badani is Group Marketing Manager for Sun's Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Web Services initiative where he drives strategy, outbound messaging and positioning for Sun's SOA Solutions. Previously, Ashesh was a Product Line Manager (Product Marketing) for the Application Server in Sun's Java Web Services initiative which is part of the company's Software group. Prior to Sun, Ashesh was the Director of Marketing at The Mind Electric, an emerging web services infrastructure provider that was acquired by WebMethods and has also worked for Merrill Lynch in New York, Hong Kong and Singapore advising telecoms/technology companies. Ashesh received an MBA (with Honors) from Wharton (Univ of Pennsylvania) and a BA (with Honors) from Cornell University. He has also studied at the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom.
Paul Karr serves as Director in charge of marketing for SeeBeyond. In this capacity Mr. Karr is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategy including go-to-market tactics, solution marketing and strategic alliance marketing activities. Mr. Karr joined SeeBeyond in 2003 and managed ISV alliances and partner marketing functions.
Prior to SeeBeyond Mr. Karr was Director of Business Development and Alliances for Inktomi where he drove go-to-market strategy through partner and channel acquisition and management. Prior to Inktomi, Mr. Karr was Director of Strategic Alliances for CellNet Data Systems and helped guide strategy through the acquisition by Schlumberger. Mr. Karr brings over 16 years of technology industry experience to SeeBeyond including leadership sales and product marketing roles at ABB Asea Brown Boveri and Texas Instruments.
Mr. Karr received a Master of International Business from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
