Kara is responsible for research and analysis of market developments and innovations within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries, which include food, beverage, and consumer goods. She also advises manufacturers and technology vendors about the needs of CPG companies, evaluating processes and technology to support and improve business goals throughout the extended supply chain. Recently, Kara has been focusing on the space between the retailer and the supplier, leading research on topics including data synchronization, RFID, trade promotions, leveraging POS data, and RFID.
Kara has over 15 years of experience working with companies in process industries. Prior to AMR Research, she worked for Marcam Solutions, implementing, selling, and marketing ERP solutions to process manufacturers in the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
Kara holds a B.A. from Wellesley College. She is also certified in Production and Inventory Management by APICS.
