Featured Speaker Bios:
As the director of IBM Web services strategy, Bob Sutor, Ph.D., is responsible for establishing the company-wide strategy for developing and deploying key industry standards, such as those for XML and Web services. Previously, as IBM’s program director for XML technology, he drove the integrated strategy and technology plans for XML, and supported open standards activities and technical partnerships in the industry.
Before joining the IBM Software Group in 1999, Dr. Sutor was a member of IBM’s research staff and led advanced technology projects related to Internet publishing. He was a member of several W3C working groups, a co-author of the Document Object Model Level 1, and a columnist for XML Developers Journal.
Dr. Sutor received a doctorate in mathematics from Princeton University and an undergraduate degree from Harvard College.
