Many professionals have a misconception that SOA Governance is something "extra" that they can't afford in today's economic environment. On the contrary, SOA Governance is the only way to stay on track and achieve measurable value and alignment with the business.

Without this, SOA suffers from a "Governance Deficiency Disorder," in which SOA efforts and results are delivered in scattergun fashion and not effectively linked to business requirements. As a result of this disorder, many SOA initiatives in recent years have delivered questionable or lukewarm results. SOA Governance ensures that services are managed across their lifecycles, and that they meet the requirements laid out by the business. In this informative roundtable discussion, a panel of experts will discuss how SOA Governance can help deliver an impressive ROI for SOA, and how this ROI can be documented and measured. In addition, the panel will explore other issues encountered when getting businesses to sign on to SOA projects, and how these obstacles can be overcome.

In this session, you will learn:
  • How Governance could have prevented many of the mistakes made in SOA deployments in recent years
  • How to establish metrics and measurements to track your SOA success
  • How SOA helps to achieve a competitive edge in the "new" economy emerging from the 2008-2009 downturn
