Frank Kieviet, a senior staff engineer at Sun Microsystems, was responsible as an architect and engineering manager for the Java CAPS J2EE runtime stack. More recently he added the roles of OpenESB community manager and architect on the core platform of GlassFish ESB to his responsibilities. His experience before joining SeeBeyond (acquired by Sun Microsystems) include a position of lead architect at a B2B software company and a position of senior developer at a chemical process simulation company. He holds a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands).
Bruce Tierney specializes in the areas of application integration, business process management (BPM), and business to business (B2B) integration. He is a Senior Product Line Manager for SOA/Business Integration at Sun Microsystems and joined the company through the 2005 acquisition of SeeBeyond. He is the author of the "8 Secrets of SOA Success for Business Integration" and "Smart Grid - Ensuring the Success of Clean Tech Software Industry Standards"
Prior to joining Sun and SeeBeyond, he was a Senior Product Manager for BPM at FileNet (acquired by IBM).
