Cloud platforms - also known as platform-as-a-service - have introduced new development options which short-cut the time-to-delivery for development projects. Delivering on many of the promises of SOA, they make it easier to 'mash up' ready-made services into your applications - and also encourage a more iterative, collaborative development style that makes it much easier to work with business users during the development process -- thus delivering an application that's more closely aligned with business need, and one that's easier to maintain and modify over time. This session explores the new skills developers and IT managers need to learn to succeed with cloud development and examines the pitfalls to avoid when embarking on cloud projects.

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform.
