Join SAP and eBizQ for the global launch of the first SAP REACH Compliance solution demo. The term REACH itself represents a legislative framework introduced by the European Union (EU) in 2007 to cover the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemical substances. Hot on the heels of these new directives, strategic partners SAP and TechniData developed the SAP REACH Compliance solution, billed as a reliable and cost-effective means of implementing the REACH requirements for industries throughout the manufacturing sector.

This Webcast signals the official unveiling of the first demonstration of the SAP REACH Compliance application, presented by Dr. Marko Lange of Industry Business Unit (IBU) Chemicals at SAP AG. The Webcast promises to clarify the impact of REACH on business processes and also show how IT can help to manage compliance.

In June 2007, the European Commission introduced REACH requiring from each Manufacturer and Importer the registration of chemicals whose volume is above 1 metric ton a year. Beside Process Industries also downstream users such as consumer products, pharmaceuticals, plastics, coatings, and even electronics are affected by REACH legislation.

The corresponding directives cover more than 120,000 substances, and consequently affect many different functional areas of a company, including purchasing, product development, manufacturing, materials planning, logistics, quality assurance, and sales.

REACH compliance and the associated challenges posed by processing this massive volume of substance registrations would be impossible to master without a software solution such as the one now offered by two key innovative members of the Industry Value Network (IVN) for Chemicals, SAP and TechniData.

SAP REACH Compliance focuses on preparing enterprises to comply with REACH legislation by supporting activities such as upstream and downstream communication, data management, and pre-registration.

In this exclusive Webcast, Dr. Lange unveils the first solution demonstration showcasing features and functions of the new application.

What You'll Learn from Attending this Webcast:
  • Understand the impact of REACH on business processes
  • See how IT can support you in managing REACH Compliance

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
