Join Bruce Silver, independent Business Process Management (BPM) analyst and founder of BPMessentials.com, and Marco ten Vaanholt, global head of SAP’s BPX Community, for a discussion about a new business role critical to the future of BPM – the Business Process Expert (BPX).

Business Process Management is a management discipline that looks at your company’s business from the perspective of end-to-end cross-functional processes. BPM is enabled by new tools and technologies that transform that management perspective into IT solutions that automate, integrate, and monitor business processes; solutions that are directly empowered by business people.

But BPM’s success requires a new role in the organization, standing at the crossroads of business and IT – the Business Process Expert. One key function of the Business Process Expert is translating a business description of how the process works today and how it could be improved, into process models that are not just business requirements but the foundation of executable process implementations. New modeling standards like BPMN now make this possible.

  • Are you a Business Process Expert? Do you have the right knowledge and skills to be successful in this new paradigm? Marco ten Vaanholt describes this emerging role, and tells you what kind of support and community is available for Business Process Experts to succeed.
  • Why is BPMN such a critical skill for the Business Process Expert? Bruce Silver will explain the differences between the new standard and traditional modeling tools.

What You'll Learn from Attending this Webcast:

  • What a Business Process Expert does, and the importance of the BPX to the success of BPM.
  • What it takes to become a Business Process Expert, where you can network with your BPX peers, get training and co-innovate.
  • Why BPMN is important, how it works, and where to find more training.
