Summary:

The drive for a real-time enterprise, integrated business processes and on-demand information, increases the need to unlock existing IT assets including mainframe and other legacy data sources and applications. In fact, the data in legacy and mainframe systems is frequently an important building block for composite applications, portals or companies implementing service-oriented architectures. Legacy integration is often a critical piece of EAI and application development intiatives, since many projects need to incorporate or reuse existing data and business transcations. It's also an area where many projects run into trouble, since the legacy integration task is complex and requires a robust solution and legacy domain competence. To address this challenge, Attunity, a public company with over 15 years experience in data and legacy integration, designed the Attunity Data Integration Suite, composed of Attunity Connect, Attunity Stream and Attunity Federate. These three products help compaines to seamlessly connect to data sources and applications, capture and stream data changes across the enterprise in real-time and federate heterogeneous data sources to create a single view of enterprise information. With the Attunity product suite companies accelerate their integration project easy-to-use, pre-built services that help maximize the use of existing investment in data sources and business logic, while reducing the risks of dealing with complex integration process. Using the Attunity products, enterprise build an information grid that can be used for many intiatives such as mainframe integration and extension to an SOA, reporting and web enabling legacy operational information, real-time data integration and synchronization and enterprise information integration.
