The new offering combines DataDirect Technologies' existing XML-based technologies in one package with a single, simple installation. Software developers now have the combined power of the DataDirect XQuery®, DataDirect XML Converters™ (Java™ and .NET) and Stylus Studio® products to meet their immediate data transformation and aggregation needs.

The DataDirect Data Integration Suite is a set of lightweight components that provide design and runtime capabilities for standards-based data integration in traditional and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) environments. With the ability to integrate data from heterogeneous data sources and varied data formats, the DataDirect Data Integration Suite provides the technical features and bottom-line benefits that positively impact an IT organisation. Helping maximise developer productivity by dramatically reducing the need for manual coding, the DataDirect Data Integration Suite saves precious development time and resources and speeds the delivery of needed information to enterprise applications and end-users.

"Increasingly, customers use DataDirect products together to meet their data integration needs," said Dr. Carlo Innocenti, senior XML program manager for DataDirect Technologies. "With the DataDirect Data Integration Suite we have made it easier for software architects and developers to get everything they need for their projects in one simple, highly flexible and robust package."

Key features of the DataDirect Data Integration Suite include:

  • A comprehensive set of tools that provide drag-and-drop mapping; code generation and debugging for Java and C# for .NET; other rapid application development tools for XML and related XML technologies like XQuery, XSLT, Web services and XML pipelines.

  • Easy access and query capabilities for a wide variety of heterogeneous data sources including relational databases, XML and flat files – all of which can be integrated into a single result for XML-based business-to-business data interchange or other formats such as HTML or PDF.

  • The ability to seamlessly and bi-directionally convert virtually any data file including EDI, flat files, and other legacy formats to ready-to-use XML, accessible from any Java or .NET application.
