Callidus Plan Communicator is based on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technology and built on salesforce.com's innovative Force.com platform. The application provides compensation plan workflow capabilities that enable sales organizations to distribute and approve compensation plan documents. It is the industry's first SPM application to offer enhanced visual and graphic capabilities that leverage salesforce.com's new visualforce user-interface-as-a-service technology. The feature enables business users to experience Sales Performance Management capabilities blended seamlessly with salesforce.com, lowering training costs and speeding adoption. Part of the Force.com platform, visualforce gives customers, partners and developers the ability to completely customize their Salesforce user interface for their specific needs and requirements.

"Force.com revolutionizes the way on-demand applications are created and delivered to the marketplace," said Clarence So, Chief Marketing Officer, salesforce.com. "As a leader in the SPM industry, Callidus Software has demonstrated its commitment to technology innovation, customer success and solution integration by building and delivering its new sales performance management application using Force.com."

The new solution allows companies to quickly, effectively and accurately communicate sales plans and contracts to their field organizations, track versions of changing sales plans and monitor and record digital acceptance. Sales operations and finance benefit from reduced effort managing and tracking signoff. Sales organizations benefit by receiving compensation plans faster and experience reduced effort reviewing and signing the plan.

With the launch, Callidus Software strengthens the momentum it has already successfully demonstrated as the fastest growing on-demand provider in the SPM market. The new product initiative underscores the company's significant investments in its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings.

"We are pleased with the rapid growth of our Callidus On-Demand business and we will continue to invest aggressively in cutting edge product strategies around SaaS and PaaS," said Jeff Saling, senior vice president of Callidus On-Demand at Callidus Software. "Callidus' market-leading SPM solutions are proven and available today on salesforce.com's AppExchange. In addition, our market research shows that functionally significant, multi-tenant offerings, like compensation plan workflow, will be very well received by our customers and the market alike."

Through the introduction of this pioneering product, Callidus Software underscores its commitment to revolutionizing the SPM market and developing Web 2.0 Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. Callidus Plan Communicator and other upcoming products will extend the reach of Callidus Software's sales performance offerings to all salesforce.com customers, with a focus on small and medium enterprises.

Callidus Software's products based on the Force.com platform empower companies of all sizes with a fast on-ramp to a far-reaching array of sales performance management solutions. This helps drive revenue while expediting ROI. As a leading SPM provider, Callidus Software's PaaS-based applications on Force.com further extend its compatibility with salesforce.com's applications, technology, and platform.
