To date, enterprises around the world have invested billions of dollars in IT infrastructures to house and manage their essential business data. As these data systems have proliferated and grown more complex, the data integration market for products that manage the accessing, combining and delivery of these disparate systems has also grown proportionately.

“It is extremely difficult for a company with millions of pieces of data in hundreds of disparate locations to keep information accurate and consistent,” said Claudia Imhoff, president of Boulder, Colo.-based Intelligent Solutions, a leading consultancy on customer relationship management (CRM) and business intelligence (BI) technologies and strategies. “The Composite Software Data Integration Strategy Recommendation Tool provides a simple, unbiased way to determine if virtualization can improve efficiency, if a physical method is preferable, or if the ideal is a combination of the two.”

The Composite Software Data Integration Strategy Recommendation Tool assesses 13 key variables, as well as provides the option to assign relative weighting to each variable, for any project that requires data integration. Designed for enterprise architects, systems designers, developers and IT project leaders, the tool is a result of a collaborative effort by hands-on project teams, Composite Software technical experts, and industry analysts including Imhoff.

“We’re thrilled to offer this decision-making tool at no cost to industry professionals. The tool has been field tested at our customers, which represent the who’s who of the financial services, government, life sciences and manufacturing industries,” said Robert Eve, vice president of Marketing at Composite Software. “The tool offers a practical and objective way for enterprises to determine if virtualization can automate significant work, add quality, accelerate time to solution, and reduce costs.”
