“Enterprise demand for mashups continues to grow and mashups are becoming an integral part of the enterprise solution ecosystem. JackBe and our PMR partners have taken proactive steps to connect our solutions together, making it easier and more secure for our mutual customers to bring mashups into their enterprises,” says Chor-Ching Fan, JackBe’s Vice President of Product Management. “This marks a critical step in the maturation of enterprise mashup technology and we are excited to have these technology and services leaders as inaugural members of the Presto Mashup Ready Program.”

JackBe’s PMR partners are industry-leading and forward-thinking enterprise software and services providers selected for their expertise in systems integration, hardware, software development, content, training and other critical enterprise solutions and services. Presto Mashup Ready partners include HP, Capgemini, Layer 7, EnterpriseDB, Backbase, StrikeIron, OpenSpan, Xignite, Dapper, MomentumSI, Ext JS LLC and Nuwave Solutions.

"For enterprises to benefit from mashups, users and administrators must take advantage of the investments already being made in SOA-based services to expose both data and capabilities," says Tim Hall, Director of SOA Products at HP. “JackBe's PMR helps organizations leverage those investments safely and expand their reach through specific integrations with corporate governance solutions like HP SOA Systinet.”

“Our clients are telling us that they need the right combination of information in order to understand events and circumstances within context, and that context frequently includes both external and internal information sources. Mashups allow us to answer this need quickly and effectively using new methods such as Capgemini’s Rapid Innovation or “RAIN” approach. We like what we see of the Jackbe approach for its ease of use and ability to adapt and are enjoying our collaboration together,” says Andy Mulholland, Global Chief Technology Officer for Capgemini and co-author of Mashup Corporations: The End of Business as Usual and the upcoming Mesh Collaboration: Creating Business Value in the Network of Everything (to be published in April 2008).

“A secure and governed mashup-enabling architecture is a must-have within the national intelligence community, a mutual customer of Layer 7 and JackBe’s,” said Jim Rice, Director of Federal Programs for Layer 7. “Layer 7 products address a broad range of service performance, security, lifecycle, mediation, SLA and governance challenges and our partnership with JackBe facilitates a new kind of secure, agile situational awareness solution for that community.”

“Databases are a primary source of data for mashups in the enterprise, and JackBe’s PMR ensures that EnterpriseDB’s Postgres Plus database products are mashup-ready. JackBe’s mashup ecosystem is a major advancement in the move towards enterprise adoption of mashup technology,” said Bob Zurek, CTO of EnterpriseDB. “Equally important, EnterpriseDB and JackBe are collaborating on future virtualization initiatives which will greatly advance the mashup state of the art. We’re excited to be working with a mashup leader like JackBe.”

“Enterprise data aggregation and web services infrastructure like JackBe can greatly enhance the time to market of Rich Internet Applications. With the new Presto Connect API, there is an easy back-end access point that offers a great deal of synergy with Backbase’s RIA front-end technology and Rich Enterprise 2.0 Applications. We are excited about working together,” says Michel Gerin, Vice President of Marketing at Backbase.

“StrikeIron’s Web Services Delivery Platform delivers a broad range of data and information services to help power mashups across multiple industries. Combining StrikeIron Data with JackBe’s mashup ecosystem represents a compelling combination inside the enterprise. Enterprises can now easily bring high-quality external solutions and combine them with internal sources to create the ultimate business solutions,” said Bob Brauer, President and Co–Founder of StrikeIron.

"Increasingly enterprise mashups require integration with the desktop and other legacy applications," said Francis Carden, CEO of OpenSpan. "We are excited that OpenSpan and JackBe have joined to greatly expand the sources of mashups by connecting JackBe’s Presto to the OpenSpan Platform. The OpenSpan Platform complements JackBe's Presto by bringing together all the applications on the desktop and increasing business agility for the enterprise end user."

“Trusted and reliable data from outside the firewall is becoming more and more critical to improving the decisions made inside the firewall. Our partnership with JackBe delivers easy and secure access to Xignite’s financial and industry data-on-demand services to JackBe’s Presto mashup platform for use in mashups that can support top-line growth,” says Stephane Dubois, Chief Executive Officer, President and Founder of data services provider Xignite.

“Through the Presto Mashup Ready Program, JackBe has proven it understands the broad range of sources users need to create effective enterprise mashups. Dapper’s tools to create services from any website on the Internet are a natural fit with JackBe’s Enterprise Mashup platform,” said Jon Aizen, Co-Founder and CTO at Dapper.

“JackBe’s Presto enterprise mashup platform and it’s PMR software partners will allow MomentumSI to better meet our mission of Service Oriented projects that emphasize reduced risk and time-to-market,” said Jeff Schneider, President at MomentumSI. “The Presto Mashup Ready Program is another great example of JackBe’s continuing commitment to safe and effective mashup implementations in the enterprise.”

“While Ext JS 2.0 satisfies the demand for rich Web 2.0 interface technology inside the firewall, enterprises also require a dynamic integration technology like JackBe’s Presto that makes it easy to bring disparate data into Ajax interfaces and widgets. The combination of Ext JS 2.0 and JackBe’s Presto mashup platform software is the perfect solution to springboard enterprises into the Web 2.0 revolution,” said Brian Moeskau, Co-Founder of Ext JS, LLC, a leading JavaScript/Ajax development framework. “In 5 years, everyone will look back and see that Ajax and Mashups were two of the biggest defining technologies for Web 2.0 solutions in the enterprise.”

“Companies that made strategic investments in portals are now looking for innovative Web 2.0 solutions that re-energize and further leverage the portal for increased employee productivity. JackBe’s ability to quickly integrate and deliver disparate data from SOAs and other sources into JSR-168 portlets is a portal game-changer. Our participation in JackBe’s mashup ecosystem allows us to confidently offer this solution to civilian and national security government agencies,” said Howard Block, Co-Founder and CEO of Nuwave Solutions, a portal solutions provider and co-author of Creating Web Portals with BEA WebLogic.
