Tizor and Arcsight Partner to Integrate Database Auditing and SIM

04/07/2008

Tizor Systems, a provider of enterprise database auditing and protection solutions for the data center, today announced a technology alliance with ArcSight a global provider of compliance and security management solutions. This partnership was formed to address a major need for integrated solutions that provide a comprehensive, enterprise-class approach to data security.

ebizQ received the following:

The partnership, which will be promoted through ArcSight's EnterpriseView Partner Program, will help customers safeguard critical data assets, control data risk and meet a wide range of compliance requirements. The integration between Tizor Mantra and ArcSight ESM will allow for correlation, analysis, viewing and response to all incidents across the enterprise – providing enterprises with a single, unified view into security and compliance incidents.

Several enterprise customers are already taking advantage of Tizor's partnership with ArcSight. A major insurance company and an international airline are among the companies that have deployed Tizor and ArcSight in an integrated fashion to correlate database specific events with overall security events within the network.

"We see tremendous value in partnering with Tizor. Tizor's Mantra database auditing and protection technology complements the capabilities of ArcSight and will provide customers with the security event visibility they need to effectively monitor and protect data,” said Reed Henry, SVP, marketing and business development at ArcSight. "Tizor's highly scalable architecture, ease of use and rapid deployment align well with ArcSight customers' larger enterprise scale implementations.”

Mantra is the first product designed specifically for high performance database monitoring and auditing. Unlike firewall-based solutions, Mantra's architecture balances sophisticated policy filtering, analytics and reporting capabilities with an intuitive user interface and policy language. This functionality enables rapid deployment across relational databases and data stored on file shares. Because Tizor's Mantra database auditing and protection solutions deploy faster than other auditing solutions and policies are easier to generate and maintain, it offers a lower total cost of ownership. With Mantra enterprises can rapidly address database security, internal data governance and a wide range of external compliance requirements and standards such as SOX, GLBA, FFIEC and PCI.

"ArcSight and Tizor address this need by providing a comprehensive approach to data security and event analysis. We are pleased to be joining forces with the leader in the security event management space.”
