Coates Analytics Deploys Altosoft Insight for Management Money Dashboard

04/02/2008

Altosoft, a provider of advanced solutions that simplify and operationalize business intelligence (BI), today announced that Coates Analytics, a provider of data distribution and technology services to the financial services industry, has switched to Altosoft Insight as the platform for the latest version of its flagship Management Money Dashboard (MMD) solution.

ebizQ received the following:

Coates’ MMD delivers aggregated industry sales data combined with advanced metrics, analytics and custom research, enabling Coates’ blue chip list of financial services clients to analyze, track, and optimize sales activities. The new, Altosoft-based version of Coates’ 100% web-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering enables Coates to continue to deliver unique financial data and industry leading analytics to customers including Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Smith Barney, and Wachovia.

“Sales, marketing, financial, and operations executives at many of the world’s largest financial services organizations rely on Managed Money Dashboard to optimize their business activities,” said Frank Coates, CEO, Coates Analytics. “Our business, and our customers’ success, depends on MMD. We needed a BI platform that was easy to implement and cost effective, but capable of delivering leading edge features like real-time event monitoring, advanced dashboard-based visualization, and incident management. We evaluated available business intelligence technologies and ruled them out because they inevitably required an expensive warehouse-based architecture and significant custom development to support our requirements. Altosoft offered a superior approach that delivered functional breadth and depth, ease of use, and implementation speed.”

MMD is used by over thirty of the top fifty asset managers in the country. With MMD, these executives answer critical sales-related questions such as:

  • Where are my best opportunities and am I spending my time effectively to address them?

  • Where should I increase of decrease my sales and marketing activity?

  • Who are my major competitors and what is my market share in particular territories?

  • How can I optimize my sales and marketing spend?

The new Altosoft-based version of MMD goes beyond traditional analysis and reporting features to deliver substantial new benefits, including:

  • Powerful, easy-to-use, browser based data visualization capabilities delivered in an intuitive, dashboard-based context.

  • Support for dynamic, real-time data.

  • Personalization of user interfaces and user experience by user, role, or company with no custom code required.

  • Automated alerts and notifications based on user-defined rules.

“For years, Coates Analytics has delivered a unique combination of data and analytical services to its financial services customers. Coates’ vision is to enhance this offering with advanced features such as real-time data monitoring, interactive data visualization, and rules-based alerts. Altosoft is enabling Coates to deliver these advanced features, while ensuring rapid, cost-effective implementation and extensibility,” said Scott Opitz, CEO of Altosoft Corporation. “We are pleased to welcome Coates as a member of the growing number of leading companies who have selected and partnered with Altosoft to create a compelling competitive advantage for their product or services offering.” ***For continuing coverage of the Gartner BI Summit 2008 and all ebizQ BI news, sign up for the weekly ebizQ BI Update by simply entering your email address and ticking the BI box right here!***

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
