LogiXML and Vertica Systems Partner on BI Reporting and Analysis

"Companies of every size will now be able to take advantage of Web-based business intelligence (BI) reporting tools and near-real-time data analysis to make smarter business decisions faster thanks to a strategic partnership between LogiXML and Vertica Systems."

ebizQ received the following:

This partnership will focus on two key objectives: new product development by LogiXML based on the Vertica® Analytic Database to extend fast Web-based analytics to small companies as well as enterprises; and integration between Vertica and the Logi 9 BI platform to enable customers to give more people the ability to analyze more data faster so they can seize business opportunities as they occur.

Learn how your SOA deployment can ensure that your assets are not just ready for reuse, but are reused everyday, for the benefit of your entire organization. Sign up for our upcoming webinar!

Together, these products allow companies to get immediate answers to ad hoc queries and to build detailed, accurate reports that support key business decisions. This integration combines Vertica’s highly scalable, shared-nothing, columnar database architecture with the ease of use and flexibility of the Logi 9 Web-based businesses intelligence platform. Non-technical business users can conduct critical queries without having to download software, making BI accessible to a broader range of decision makers. The Logi 9 platform offers customers a full range of managed reporting and ad hoc reporting features, including dashboards and a range of data visualization options like heat maps, text clouds and GIS mapping, as well as a host of data integration features to connect to enterprise data sources.

“Browser-based data analytics not only minimizes costs, it also simplifies BI to the point where it becomes a competitive advantage,” said LogiXML CEO and Founder Arman Eshraghi. “We are partnering with Vertica to extend our expertise and Web-based business intelligence applications as a software as a service (SaaS) product. We see this approach as a way to extend the capability of enterprise class data analysis to business users at any size company that has the need for data analysis.”

The Vertica Analytic Database delivers query results 50 to 200 times faster than other databases. The Vertica Analytic Database relies on pioneering data compression to reduce storage requirements by as much as 90 percent, dramatically cutting hardware overhead and energy consumption so customers can analyze larger amounts of historical data at a fraction of the cost. Logi 9 offers all of the BI capabilities users across an organization may need, including comprehensive corporate reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting and valuable BI data services.

“Integrating LogiXML’s Web-based BI platform with the Vertica Analytic Database provides the speed and depth of information companies depend on to make the decisions that affect the bottom line,” said Vertica CEO Ralph Breslauer. “This partnership also makes Web-based BI available to a broader range of companies who want to extend affordable, ad hoc analytics to more users so they can be more nimble.”

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
