Serena Software to Provide Three Solutions via SaaS

Serena Software announced plans to provide three solutions via Software as a Service (SaaS) – Serena® Mariner® (Project and Portfolio Management), Serena Business Mashups, and Serena Agile Lifecycle Management tools.
In the first of many steps toward delivering a complete line of SaaS-enabled products, Serena will make one of its key offerings, Serena Mariner, available on demand within the next 30 days. Named a Leader in Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tools by Forrester[1], Serena Mariner provides total visibility into project status and metrics to ensure the right people are on the right projects at the right time, ultimately delivering more value to the business. With prices starting as low as $18 per user per month, Serena Mariner gives business analysts a way to manage their entire portfolio quickly and easily without creating unwieldy spreadsheets in Excel. All Serena products delivered via SaaS will have published pricing and discount schedules.

As Web 2.0 technologies move into the enterprise they promise to revolutionize application development through the use of Business Mashups. No longer are programmers required to build simple, everyday collaborative applications. Serena Mashup Composer brings drag and drop ease-of-use to lower the barrier of entry to Mashup development.
