Cast Iron Systems Introduces Integration Appliances for OpSource Connect
02/29/2008
Cast Iron Systems today announced an integration appliance for OpSource Connect™. The Cast Iron Integration Appliance for OpSource Connect is an appliance that offers integration more quickly between web-based applications and on-premise systems.
"We chose Cast Iron because they have so much experience integrating SaaS with on-premise applications," said Treb Ryan, CEO at OpSource. "Integration is of critical importance to our customers and their users. Cast Iron is a proven solution with hundreds of deployed customers that allows the rapid integration of SaaS applications with legacy business systems."
The Cast Iron Integration Appliance provides built-in connectivity to migrate and synchronize data in real time between all major SaaS applications, databases, flat-files, web services, and messaging systems, including salesforce.com, NetSuite, RightNow, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, DB2, MS SQL Server, and Informix, among others, ensuring consistent and accurate data across the extended enterprise.
According to Gartner Research, as the growth rate of SaaS solutions outpaces on-premise enterprise software, integration is becoming more important. The appliance-based approach to solving integration issues is much more efficient than traditional custom-coded or software-based solutions.
"As use of SaaS broadens and deepens, products and services that integrate SaaS solutions with existing in-house or other SaaS solutions have become more relevant and more valuable to enterprises," noted Ben Pring, research vice president at Gartner.
"OpSource is a true SaaS innovator. We are honored to have been selected to provide our expertise in rapid SaaS integration to their ISV and web company customers," said Ken Comée, CEO of Cast Iron Systems. "The combination of OpSource's powerful web operations and Cast Iron's rapid integration solution will finally blur the lines between SaaS and on-premise systems."
