Mashup Provider JackBe to Support HP SOA Systinet

01/28/2008

JackBe, a provider of enterprise mashup software, today announced support for HP SOA Systinet product and its participation in the HP Governance Interoperability Framework (GIF).

ebizQ received the following:

JackBe’s enterprise mashup platform, Presto, now includes the Presto Connector for HP SOA Systinet, enabling secure and governed deployments of enterprise mashups based upon service-oriented architecture (SOA) services. This offers enterprises a unified, easy-to-use and secure solution for mashups created within an SOA governance and management framework.

“Our customers and our partners have asked for features that let enterprise mashups leverage their SOA in a secure way and our participation in the HP GIF allows us to provide that solution,” said John Crupi, CTO at JackBe. “Our Presto Connector for HP SOA Systinet makes it easy and safe to create mashups from information-rich SOA services environments, making this Web 2.0 technology even more useful for customer service, loan analysis, intelligence gathering and countless other tacit enterprise uses.”

The Presto Connector for HP SOA Systinet is an HP GIF-compliant, standards-based interface that automates the sharing of SOA service information between HP SOA Systinet and JackBe’s award-winning enterprise mashup platform. This partnership directly benefits the business as new sources of data can be provided to developers and business users for faster creation of mashup applications, ultimately paving the way to more accurate business decisions. In addition, the integrated products greatly improve the ROI of their SOA efforts by expanding the uses of SOA-based services within the enterprise while meeting internal application governance requirements.

“HP SOA Systinet allows customers the visibility, trust and control they need to realize successful business outcomes with their SOA transformations,” said Avrami Tzur, vice president, SOA Software, HP. “As the SOA market continues to mature, we are very excited that JackBe’s Presto is now an integrated part of that value chain.”

Awarded Enterprise Mashup Platform of the Year in 2008 by InfoWorld, JackBe’s Presto enterprise mashups enable users to experience self-service data access and situational integration to make more effective decisions and independently complete daily tasks. The Presto Connector for HP SOA Systinet makes mashups more secure and useful, allowing users to consume, create, customize and collaborate with confidence while meeting IT requirements and standards.
