eIQnetworks Offers New Appliance-Based Security, Risk and Audit Management Solutions

01/22/2008

eIQnetworks®, Inc., a global provider of integrated security, risk and audit management solutions, today announced the expansion of its flagship SecureVue® product offering with the immediate availability of two new appliance-based versions. These appliances allow enterprises to seamlessly leverage the full benefits of the SecureVue security, risk and audit management platform in a cost-effective hardware solution that can be rapidly deployed.

ebizQ received the following:

The appliances – SecureVue 2000 and SecureVue 3000 – incorporate the comprehensive functionality of the SecureVue software platform, making next-generation security information management (SIM) and IT governance, risk and compliance (GRC) available in an appliance form that offers enterprises and channel partners:

• Lower total cost of ownership

• Pre-installed software

• Hardened operating system

• Web-based setup for fast, simple installation

• Enhanced security and compliance

"Our research shows that best-in-class organizations are proactively reducing the number of silos for their security governance, risk management and compliance initiatives," said Derek E. Brink, vice president and research director for IT Security at Aberdeen Group. "Appliances, such as eIQ's SecureVue, are a logical approach based on their full-featured security, risk and audit functionality combined with the 'plug and go' simplicity of installation and speed to deployment."

eIQ's SecureVue 3000 Central Server has 1.8 TB storage capacity, supports up to 15,000 events per second and provides unlimited user access. The SecureVue 2000 Regional Server – deployed in conjunction with the SecureVue 3000 Central Server for distributed environments – offers 1 TB storage capacity and supports up to 6,000 events per second.

"Since the beginning of 2007, we have seen significant adoption of the SecureVue security, risk and audit management platform across leading Global 2000 companies," said Vijay Basani, CEO at eIQnetworks. "The introduction of SecureVue appliances gives our customers the option of selecting either a hardware- or software-based solution to meet security and compliance challenges."

As an integrated platform, SecureVue enables organizations to strategically address evolving security and compliance challenges and improve operational efficiencies by delivering the following functionality in one single framework:

• Next-Generation SIM

- Log Management: collects, archives, correlates and reports on event data from all devices, servers and applications;

- Vulnerability Analytics: scans assets on demand to identify, track and report system vulnerabilities;

- Configuration Analytics: detects, correlates, alerts and reconciles configuration changes as well as enforces control policies across the IT infrastructure;

- Asset Analytics: centralizes the tracking and management of hardware and software assets to improve visibility and diminish asset oversight;

- Performance Analytics: collects and analyzes performance data from all network devices and servers to proactively monitor network health; and

- Network Behavioral Anomaly Detection: profiles all NetFlow, C-Flow, S-Flow and J-Flow data to identify and alert on anomalies based on resource utilization, application usage and behavioral patterns.

• IT GRC

- Control Framework: provides a comprehensive library that contains more than 5,000 control objectives;

- Best Practices & Regulations: supports CoBIT, ISO 17799, ISO 27000, NIST 800-53, CA 1386, FISMA, GLBA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX and more; and

- Policies & Standards: offers an extensible architecture that enables organizations to establish internal policies, tailor business requirements and add additional regulations and best practices as needs change.

SecureVue has been deployed by numerous Global 2000 organizations, including The New York Times and The South Financial Group, as well as managed security service providers across the financial services, government and retail industries.
