Jitterbit Launches Open Source Integration 'Trading Post'

12/06/2007

Jitterbit, Inc., a specialist in open source integration software, today announced the launch of the Jitterbit Trading Post, the world's first integration-specific marketplace.

ebizQ received the following details:

The Jitterbit Trading Post is the central hub for complete integration solutions built with the Jitterbit open source integration suite, as well as a depository for production-ready integration templates called Jitterpaks and Plugins that extend the functionality of Jitterbit. The Jitterbit Trading Post is available today at http://tradingpost.jitterbit.com.

The Jitterbit Trading Post marks a major milestone in the enterprise integration marketplace. Until now, users have been unable to seek out and publish targeted solutions that solve their unique integration challenges. The Trading Post solves this issue by providing users with an easy way to find and implement tailored solutions that fulfill their specific integration needs. In effect, the Jitterbit Trading Post provides an online marketplace that matches users with the integration-specific solutions provided by Jitterbit and its community of users, customers, integration partners and ISVs.

"The Jitterbit Trading Post is an extension of our commitment to make integration an easy, sharable and community-focused endeavor," said Sharam Sasson, chairman and CEO, Jitterbit. “Until now, the task of finding a targeted open source solution for a specific integration challenge has been overwhelmingly inefficient. The Jitterbit Trading Post greatly simplifies this process so users can find the most effective and affordable solutions easily.”

The Jitterbit Trading Post also features a robust project management tool that allows users and partners to manage integration projects from start to finish in a secure and centralized location – thereby significantly reducing project timeframes and costs. There is no charge for using the Jitterbit Trading Post as a buyer and providers can list their solutions, plugins and Jitterpaks on the marketplace at no cost.

Sasson continues "The impact of the Jitterbit Trading Post will extend well beyond the user community. Jitterbit believes the availability of an online marketplace will revolutionize the way organizations across the globe develop, distribute and manage their integration solutions.”

The Jitterbit Trading Post and more than 50 new solution offerings are available immediately. These integration solutions are available for a diverse range of industries, such as government, manufacturing, healthcare, financial services and many more. Customers, integration partners and ISVs have already published Jitterpaks to the Trading Post.
