ebizQ received the following: "Unisys is a market leader in open source and an ideal alliance partner for OpenLogic. We share the mutual goal of providing enterprise customers with a way to safely and securely deploy open source technologies,” said Steven Grandchamp, CEO of OpenLogic. “OpenLogic is unique in being able to provide the highest quality of certified open source solutions that Unisys and its customers demand.” This alliance enables OpenLogic and Unisys to work together in a variety of ways to help enterprises leverage the benefits of open source while reducing risks. Unisys will leverage OpenLogic’s Certified Library, containing more than 300 pre-certified open source packages, to complement its own resources in providing enterprise-ready open source to its customers. OpenLogic will provide enterprise-grade support on packages not directly supported by Unisys and will also provide Unisys with access to the OpenLogic Expert Community. “By teaming Unisys solution-integration and vertical-industry expertise with OpenLogic’s broad offerings and depth of support, we can provide clients with a singularly strong set of open source solutions,” said Anthony Gold, vice president and general manager, Open Source Business, Unisys.”
