AmberPoint Gains New Clients for its SOA Runtime-Governance Software

07/25/2007

AmberPoint announced that a number of high-profile companies have selected AmberPoint’s industry-leading SOA runtime-governance software to manage their SOA initiatives.

ebizQ received the following:

AmberPoint’s newest customers come from a variety of industries and geographies, and include leading enterprise software provider BEA, CPA mutual insurance company Camico, world-renowned fragrance vendor Coty, global financial services providers Capital One and Deutsche Bank, Harris Labs, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), global financial services and insurance leader Zurich, and one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies. AmberPoint’s runtime governance software also continues to be popular internationally and among government entities, having been selected by two government departments in Spain—the Ministry of Public Information and Tesoreria General de la Seguridad Social (Spain’s Social Security department). AmberPoint also signed a number of other new customers across a variety of industries, conducted significant follow-on business with existing customers, and completed licensing deals with industry partners.

In addition to its direct sales, AmberPoint saw dramatic growth of its sales through partners. Dozens of additional companies adopted AmberPoint technology in the last quarter from buying software into which AmberPoint is embedded. AmberPoint has distribution and reseller agreements in place with Microsoft, TIBCO, BEA, iWay and others. AmberPoint is the most OEM'ed, resold and distributed software in the SOA industry.

"In parallel with its impressive solution set, AmberPoint continues to develop with an ever-increasing partner ecosystem,” said Julie Craig, senior analyst at Enterprise Management Associates. “This is proving to be a good strategy and one that provides a strong foundation for additional sales and OEM licensing opportunities."

“Partnerships have always been a key component of the AmberPoint strategy and in SOA they are a necessity,” said John Hubinger, CEO of AmberPoint. “We have always made a significant commitment to integrating with other software leaders in this space. As these partnerships have grown, we’ve entered into a number of relationships where our technology is sold by partners. This brings a vast new channel of sales opportunities to us, a strategy that is starting to show healthy returns.”
