LogicLibrary and Mindreef Team on SOA Quality Solutions

06/26/2007

LogicLibrary® Inc., a specialist in SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) governance and software reuse, together with Mindreef®, Inc., a specialist in SOA Quality software solutions for the successful development and testing of Web services and SOA, today announced a strategic partnership.

ebizQ received the following:

The companies are integrating LogicLibrary's Logidex™ SDA (Software Development Asset) governance hub with Mindreef’s SOA Quality platform, SOAPscope Server™ with Mindreef Policy Rules Manager™, to provide customers with an end-to-end SOA governance and testing solution. This optimal combination extends governance from Enterprise Architecture and SOA technical policy definition through the service Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deployment, incorporating powerful service policy validation and test automation at customer-designated points in the service lifecycle.

Logidex is a best-of-breed architectural and SDA lifecycle governance hub that enables customers to integrate SDA processes within the SOA service lifecycle in conjunction with related SOA governance tools. “Our customers will have high confidence in their SOA Service quality with the combined expertise and capabilities provided by LogicLibrary and Mindreef,” said Don Imhoff, LogicLibrary president. “Combining Logidex’s best-of-breed service lifecycle governance capabilities with Mindreef’s policy validation and test automation capabilities will allow our customers to be better able to improve SOA quality early in the service SDLC, thereby reducing costs and increasing service stability and trust.”

Mindreef SOAPscope Server is a team-based platform for assuring SOA quality, with always-on tools for SOA testing, diagnostics, governance and support. With SOAPscope Server, service teams can leverage robust features while collaborating to improve overall SOA quality, including Web services testing and QA, design-time support, prototyping, change-time support, run-time support, load testing and policy compliance validation. Mindreef Policy Rules Manager is an add-on capability to SOAPscope Server 6.0 for policy authoring and validation of services, which allows teams to translate best practices into rules and validate them automatically as service designers create new services. Through the integration between SOAPscope Server with Policy Rules Manager and Logidex, service consumers can realize greater confidence and trust in the services they are using and service producers gain increased visibility into how the services are being used.

“A successful, agile SOA requires both governance and quality – especially as services are consumed by more than one composite application, making the requirements for high quality and performance of each service even more critical,” said Frank Grossman, co-founder and CTO of Mindreef. “We’re pleased to partner with LogicLibrary to provide our customers with an end-to-end governance solution to ensure service trust and reuse, which drive cost savings and business agility through high-quality SOA implementations.”

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform.
