Entuity, With Fluke Networks, Builds Eye of the Storm Netflow Tracker Integration Module
06/05/2007
Entuity™, a provider of solutions for network service management and the global developer of the award-winning Eye of the Storm® (EYE) software suite, announces the availability of the Eye of the Storm Netflow Tracker Integration Module through a partnership with Fluke Networks.
The module extends EYE’s reach to the application layer, enabling enterprises to increase performance, security, and ROI through expanded network analytics.
“Competitive and economic pressures drive our customers to rely upon a broad range of latency-sensitive IT services to enhance their business processes,” said Michael Jannery, president and CEO of Entuity. “This integration enables our mutual customers to complement their bottom-up infrastructure view of their environment with a top-down traffic-oriented view, giving them deeper insight into the current state and usage of the network, and enabling them to make faster, better decisions about the services they deliver for their customers.”
The combination of EYE’s depth of infrastructure, connectivity, and event detail with the complete flow-based information of Fluke Networks NetFlow Tracker enables businesses to improve control, predictability, and security of network infrastructures. The EYE NetFlow Tracker Integration Module uniquely combines two best-in-class solutions – neither requiring probes nor appliances – to present an easy to deploy and maintain solution that delivers real-time network insight from the conversation and protocol down to the ports and devices that support traffic. Application flow metrics enhance the benefits of EYE’s infrastructure topology and connectivity knowledge, historic and real-time performance data, event filtering, and root cause analysis to ensure that IT services deliver measurable business benefits. The EYE NetFlow Tracker Integration Module makes delivering and monitoring IP services – and the infrastructure that supports them – more efficient and cost effective.
“Although businesses running enterprise applications today need to understand their top traffic producers, the real danger is those that purposefully fly under the radar. The data profiles that are now the greatest concern for businesses start and remain small – virus, voice, peer-to-peer, multicast, hacking and worms,” said Mike McGrath, technical business director at Fluke Networks.
“This new module gives businesses one seamless console by integrating Netflow Tracker’s distinctive ability to report on every data conversation with EYE’s unique depth of infrastructure information to answer today’s most critical management questions.”
