PegaSystems Reloads SmartBPM Suite

01/09/2007

Pegasystems Inc.(Nasdaq: PEGA), a specialist in unified process and rules technology, today announced the latest version of its award-winning SmartBPM™ Suite designed to optimize the management of constantly changing business processes.

ebizQ received the following details:

Pegasystems has raised the bar again by putting the power of process management into the hands of users across the entire organization. In the latest SmartBPM Suite, version 5.2, business and IT users will quickly realize the benefits of business visualization, faster Adobe®Flex™-based internet applications, and improved scalability for large systems.

Coming off PegaWORLD 2006, the largest BPM customer event ever hosted, Pegasystems has released another milestone update to its SmartBPM Suite that includes more than 60 specific innovative and customer-driven enhancements. Among those new features are:

  • Flex-based interactive business visualization – to empower managers and improve process performance in real-time through the use of Rich Internet Application graphics.

  • Complex business decisioning support – faster decisioning thanks to embedded and nested rule sets

  • Toughest insurance problems solved dynamically – industry firsts for multichannel, multi-state policies and rules

  • Developer productivity enhanced – SOA integration testing, AJAX and Flex automation provide faster time to solution

  • Accessibility features to support all users – engages disabled workers

The enhancements provide business users with better access and more precise control over their business processes. The latest version also includes advanced decisioning support to address highly complex business problems including management of multichannel, multi-state insurance policies, mortgage loan origination and others.

Prompted by its growing number of large customer service centers using SmartBPM to provide a world-class customer experience, Pegasystems has improved enterprise performance and scalability. This builds on the system that already owns the industry’s highest performance benchmark rating.

“Pegasystems continues to outpace the competition with its continuous innovation, R&D investment and ongoing commitment to customer success,” said Jay Sherry, vice president of marketing and solution frameworks. “Leading analyst firms repeatedly recognize Pegasystems as the leader in BPM for our outstanding products, successful customer engagements and ability to rapidly deliver new products. We continue to enhance SmartBPM Suite in response to requests from many of the world’s leading companies, allowing their business and IT users to truly collaborate and realize the future of business, today.” To ensure that all users and customers in the global market can engage, Pegasystems has added new accessibility support to meet the requirements imposed by the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Disability Discrimination Act (UK) as well as other accessibility requirements in the EU.
