According to the terms of the deal, Endeca will resell Clarabridge BI Connectors for Business Objects, Cognos and MicroStrategy BI platforms as value-added components of the Endeca IAP. The combined offering will help Endeca IAP customers extract additional value from BI investments, unite reports and key metrics with other key application data and content sources, and extend business intelligence to a wide audience of users. As a result, organizations can now deploy new classes of intuitive, self-service BI applications to thousands of workers without incurring the costs associated with deploying additional BI seat licenses and user training.

The Endeca IAP unites disparate data and content, while providing business and IT benefits that extend far beyond enterprise application integration and information access approaches like enterprise search, portals, and data warehouses. It gives businesses the ability to rapidly deploy applications that combine user-friendly tools like search, navigation, visualization and analysis in a single, seamless experience. And, representative of a growing trend towards unified information access, it offers businesses new capabilities to combine highly structured data from multiple enterprise applications (e.g. BI, CRM, ERP, PLM, SFA, etc.) with semi-structured and unstructured content assets from other key enterprise systems (e.g. file servers, email, enterprise content management, websites, etc.). As a result, businesses can provide employees with unprecedented insight, context and personalized flexibility to improve revenue-related decision making.

“Teaming with Clarabridge creates an out-of-the-box capability to incorporate BI data and reports into a broader enterprise information access strategy, giving thousands of workers the intuitive tools they need to use this information in context,” said Matt Eichner, vice president of strategic development at Endeca. “This relationship is a key part of Endeca's strategy to deliver real intelligence to the widest possible enterprise community, creating cascading benefits by informing daily decision making that directly impacts revenue, resource allocation and overall business performance.” Clarabridge embodies best practices and expertise in the BI industry.

The Clarabridge Connectors give organizations new abilities to index and make available data and reports held within the most widely used business intelligence platforms. Founded by pioneers in the BI industry, Clarabridge has played a pivotal role in extending BI capabilities out to a wide audience of users.

“Enterprise BI deployments regularly spawn the creation of thousands of reports distributed to multiple user communities. Making matters worse, most organizations are using multiple BI tools,” said Justin Langseth, president and CTO of Clarabridge. “By partnering with Endeca, we can help organizations take advantage of this wealth of information by providing intuitive tools workers need to quickly find and analyze the data or metrics most relevant to their unique and ever-changing needs”
