Attensity will work with IBM to develop integrated solutions that support IBM Information Server and provide a scaleable, high performance framework for cleansing, transforming, and delivering both structured and unstructured information consistently and securely throughout the enterprise. IBM Information Server helps companies integrate any disparate enterprise data so it can be accessed and used in new ways to drive innovation, increase operational efficiency, and lower risk. Attensity offers the market's leading text extraction and analytics suite enabling companies to access and analyze their unstructured data, which can be up to 85% of an organization's data.

"Working with IBM and IBM Information Server, Attensity now offers customers a solution that provides an entire framework for the access, cleansing, integration, and management of their information -- both structured and unstructured," said Craig Norris, Attensity CEO. "Our expertise in Text Analytics, combined with IBM's innovative approach to information integration, provides a breakthrough foundation for managing mission-critical information projects."

IBM Information Server enables advanced enterprise data integration. Attensity's Text Analytics suite derives all facts found in unstructured data using Attensity's patented Exhaustive Extraction(TM) technology, which Attensity calls "ETL for text." These facts are then handed off to the IBM Information Server for additional ETL processing, such as data cleansing and de-duplication, and then placed into the data warehouse. The result is a 360-degree dataset that comprises the transformed structured data fused with the extracted facts found in the unstructured data.

"We value the contributions Attensity makes to help customers rapidly leverage the IBM Information Server and create unprecedented access to trusted information," said Pete Fiore, vice president, IBM Information Integration Solutions. "By collaborating with Attensity, we can solve some of the most pressing information management challenges faced by organizations today across the worlds of both structured and unstructured data."
