Attachmate Integrates Access Products with Microsoft Vista

Attachmate Corporation today announced that it is leveraging its expanded internal development resources to ensure that the company’s host access and terminal emulation products will provide the functionality needed to seamlessly integrate with, and take advantage of, the enhanced security, manageability and productivity features within Microsoft Windows Vista.

Backed by a highly skilled team of technology experts, the aggressively funded Attachmate also announced plans to launch EXTRA!® X-treme v9 in November 2006. Attachmate expects that EXTRA! X-treme v9 will be its first “Certified for Windows Vista” host access offering, and is committed to ensuring that the entire Attachmate® host access product family meets Windows Vista logo criteria.

At the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2006 in Boston, Attachmate will showcase how the Company’s host access products will enable customers to secure data in motion and boost user productivity while easing migration to the new Microsoft Windows Vista platform. The launch of EXTRA! X-treme v9 will reaffirm Attachmate’s commitment to providing industry-leading terminal emulation and host access solutions that help organizations extend the value of their host assets while minimizing management costs and maximizing end-user productivity.
