Fiorano provided the following to ebizQ:

In 2005, EasyPay processed more than 286 million transactions on behalf of the country’s leading petroleum companies, retailers, bill issuers and financial institutions and focuses on providing high-volume, secure and convenient payment, pre-payment and value-added services to the South African market. The company investigated the feasibility of using business integration technologies to meet these requirements. After looking at several alternative technologies they chose Fiorano SOA 2006 Platform, from Fiorano Software, as its key enabling technology.

"EasyPay specifically selected Fiorano SOA 2006 Platform because it outperformed the competition in performance and ease of use. These criteria are important to us because of the high volume of transactions that we process and because we need the agility to be able to respond quickly to opportunities," says Ian Steyn, EasyPay’s Services Development Manager.

"EasyPay is gearing the business through continuous enhancement of people, processes and systems. This has seen investment in state-of-the-art reconciliation, fee, settlement, business intelligence and service orientated architecture technologies. This, coupled to similar investment in people and processes, has secured EasyPay’s position as the premium service provider of its type", reports the Company.

With Fiorano, EasyPay benefits from improved agility at a business and technology level, while increasing the capability to process high transaction volumes. This had to be based on robust infrastructure to ensure the overall availability customers demand. Built on the Fiorano ESB™, Enterprise Service Bus, the Fiorano SOA Platform offers standardized interfaces for a full range of data tasks, from communication and transformation to portability and security. It provides a standards-based, business component architecture, allowing enterprises to draw on existing business logic residing anywhere within their application environments to quickly assemble efficient solutions for business problems.

According to Atul Saini, CEO & CTO, Fiorano, "Due to our unique architecture and easy-to-use tools, the implementation was very quick and effortless. Unlike complex and expensive integration solutions, Fiorano SOA Platform enables EasyPay to achieve immediate tangible benefits for delivering better service to its customers while significantly improving real-time responsiveness to changing business conditions."
