The following information was provided by FileNet.

With the addition of FileNet Web Site Manager, FileNet’s Web Content Management (WCM) suite now offers one of the most complete sets of WCM solutions available to meet enterprise needs.

FileNet Web Site Manager provides dynamic content management, allowing Web content to be personalized and targeted to a specific audience, while also ensuring that content is timely and relevant. FileNet Web Site Manager’s dynamic delivery capabilities allow organizations to keep their Web content timely and relevant across multi-channels of business, while maintaining strict control over the behavior and presentation quality of all content.

FileNet Web Site Manager manages Web sites on a global scale but is designed to allow business users to manage their own content. Web authors can take advantage of an intuitive, easy to use Web content management interface or simply manage their content directly in FileNet P8, portal environments, Microsoft Office or SharePoint environments.

“Companies continue to publish more on internal and external Web sites, and in most cases, the large volume of content and constant updating overwhelm manual processes,” stated Lou Latham, principal research analyst, Gartner, in his recent research report. “WCM's resurgence in popularity partly stems from the growing quantity of content that people need to access, the number of sites that enterprises maintain and the number of business processes that enterprise content supports.”

“FileNet continues to excel in bringing ECM solutions to market that uniquely address an enterprise’s content and business process management needs – enabling organizations to streamline and automate their processes, connect to their existing information systems and access and manage all forms of content,” said Martyn Christian, chief marketing officer for FileNet. “By adding FileNet Web Site Manager to our Web Content Management suite of products, we now allow our customers to address business initiatives to generate revenue, reduce costs and improve customer service with a dynamic Web content management solution that is both easy to use and deploy.”

FileNet Web Site Manager also provides excellent multi-site management capabilities, effectively supporting highly localized content, in a multilingual environment, while conforming to overall branding and site structures. It also provides support for Web content that needs to be delivered to multiple channels in multiple formats, and also supports rapid creation and launching of micro-sites in support of specific Web or mixed media campaigns.

FileNet Web Content Management Suite

FileNet’s Web Content Management suite offers customers the flexibility to choose any combination of FileNet WCM solutions that meet their specific needs, all enabled by a single ECM platform. FileNet’s WCM suite utilizes a single source content management model, allowing business users to publish to multiple audiences via multiple channels, in multiple formats and languages from a single underlying item of content.

FileNet’s WCM suite includes FileNet Web Site Manager, FileNet Document Publisher and FileNet Site Publisher. FileNet Document Publisher is designed to allow users to automatically publish document-based content to multiple viewing communities without requiring expertise in Web publishing technologies.

FileNet Site Publisher makes process-driven Web content immediately available via Web sites when and where it is needed, giving users access to the right information at the right time.

FileNet Web Site Manager is designed to meet the needs of enterprises by dynamically managing Web content for large numbers of global Web sites from a single platform.
