Customers will now be able to meet the growing demands of compliance and risk management by automating the collection, storage and reporting of previously untapped and valuable log data. LogLogic also announced it has joined the EMC Smarts Technology Alliances Program.

With LogLogic automating log data and reporting, customers can better adapt to the complex compliance requirements of organizations and regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, COSO and BASEL II. Additionally, the solution's ability to provide behavioral anomaly detection on logs of virtually any operating system, application or device enables customers to better prevent key security threats -- such as viruses, intruders or intellectual property thefts.

With EMC Smarts, LogLogic customers gain access to a real-time business management solution that tells them -- automatically and in real time -- how infrastructure problems affect services and customers. Taking a service-centric approach to IT management, the software lets customers know exactly what they need to fix to keep business services up and running. The solution's common information model and correlation engine automatically reveal the connections between the most fundamental network elements and the applications, services and customers they support.

"As our customers attempt to overcome today's increasingly complex security and compliance challenges, many are looking to tap into valuable log data," said Chris Gahagan, senior vice president, EMC Software. "LogLogic's ability to quickly find, alert and report on mission-critical IT log data enables EMC Smarts customers to more effectively leverage this critical information for security, compliance and business continuity."

"We're committed to helping customers unleash the potential of log data -- from any device or source -- for both compliance and risk mitigation," said Christopher Brennan, president and CEO, LogLogic. "EMC Smarts empowers our customers with the actionable intelligence they need to keep their IT infrastructures up and running. Together, our solutions make collecting, storing and reporting on log data simple -- providing customers with unmatched intelligence to simplify compliance tasks, reduce costs and mitigate risk."
