LogicLibrary and Blue Titan Integrate Logidex and Network Director

10/14/2005

LogicLibrary®, a provider of software development asset (SDA) management tools, and Blue Titan Software®, a services networking company, today announced a strategic partnership.

The companies provided the following details:

The companies will integrate their respective products, Logidex and Network Director, to provide customers with effective development-time and run-time governance of services across the service-oriented architecture (SOA) lifecycle. The LogicLibrary – Blue Titan partnership is designed to ensure that SOA initiatives adhere to established policies and align properly with business processes.

“Successful governance can only be achieved through the interoperability of leading SOA solutions,” said LogicLibrary CEO Greg Coticchia. “This partnership with Blue Titan is the latest example of LogicLibrary’s commitment to work closely with today’s top solution providers. LogicLibrary, Blue Titan and other SOA leaders are providing the diverse and rich environment needed to help organizations quickly gain greater business value from their SOAs.”

LogicLibrary’s Logidex, the most widely-used software development metadata repository, enables the distribution and consumption of services across an enterprise by integrating with leading IDEs and by pulling asset information from various systems of record. LogicLibrary is the only company that offers configurable governance policies for the active tracking of service creation and service usage.

“Blue Titan’s collaboration with LogicLibrary will provide customers with a comprehensive approach to SOA governance,” said Frank Martinez, founder and CEO of Blue Titan. “This partnership will help enterprises ensure the success of their SOA deployments by fulfilling the need for governance across the SOA lifecycle.”

Blue Titan’s Network Director 3.5 enables a services networking approach to SOA that allows organizations to incrementally deploy SOA as needed and avoid costly accidental architectures that can develop as SOA environments evolve. A Network Director-enabled services network is a loosely coupled network of service providers, service consumers, and Network Director Control Points that intelligently route XML/SOAP traffic, enforce policy, and mediate messages within a heterogeneous environment of protocols and standards. Network Director, and its unparalleled run-time governance capabilities, helps deliver successful SOA solutions that provide flexibility, rapid results, and global-scale to enterprises.

“IT governance is the most critical area of corporate governance in today’s competitive enterprise, because IT both requires governance itself and can also provide the necessary tools for corporate governance,” said Jason Bloomberg, Senior Analyst, ZapThink LLC. “SOA governance offers effective management of SOA deployments as well as the visibility and control necessary for successful IT and corporate governance, while also increasing the business agility that today’s organizations require. The partnership between LogicLibrary and Blue Titan helps organizations to achieve both their governance and business objectives.”

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
