10/10/2005
Wily Technology Inc., a provider of Enterprise Application Management technology, today announced it has acquired Timestock, Inc. With the acquisition, Wily has formed a Customer Experience Management business unit led by Dave Chapman, former CEO of Timestock.
The company provided the following details:
Wily has integrated Timestock technology into its new Wily Customer Experience Manager™ product also announced today which, in concert with Wily Introscope®, is the most comprehensive solution for managing the performance and integrity of critical web transactions.
“The acquisition of Timestock is a significant step towards Wily’s vision to help customers optimize their critical business applications by managing all transactions across all environments,” said Dick Williams, CEO of Wily Technology. “As web applications become both more mission-critical and more complex, end-to-end intelligence about transaction performance is increasingly important to companies’ financial success.
"With the addition of customer experience management capabilities, Wily customers will gain vital insight into customer transaction integrity, enabling them to find and diagnose problems to optimize the performance of their applications and offer better customer service. We expect this highly flexible technology to open significant new market opportunities for Wily.”
Timestock technology detects, prioritizes and isolates complex problems that affect the ability of customers to execute successful transactions in any application, whether it was built on Java, .NET, mainframe, or other technology. As part of the new Wily Customer Experience Manager, Timestock technology extends the in-depth application visibility and diagnosis capabilities already provided by Introscope®, Wily’s award-winning web application performance management solution. Introscope supports all leading J2EE application platforms and packaged or custom enterprise applications, and is the essential technology powering Management 360™, Wily’s methodology for collaborative application management. Combined, Introscope and the new Wily Customer Experience Manager will enable organizations to better monitor the health and performance of business-critical web applications.
“An end-to-end view is essential for managing complex, composite applications, but end-to-end is not enough,” said Bernd Herzog, CEO of APM Experts. “Enterprises need to understand both the customer experience and the health of the application and its connected back-ends. Beyond visibility, ensuring application performance also requires always-on deep diagnosis, enabling proactive problem solving at any point in the transaction chain. With the acquisition of Timestock’s technology, Wily is addressing this critical market need.”
