Resolution EBS Teams With Appian on BPM and BR

10/05/2005

Resolution EBS, the provider of a business rules engine (BRE) built from the ground up for interactive, front office processes and applications that reduce costs and raise revenue opportunities, today announced it has partnered with Appian Corporation, the leading provider of Business Process Management (BPM) suites.

Resolution EBS provided the following details:

Appian and Resolution will work together to deliver integrated BPM and BRE solutions that drive customer-centric, “edge” processes, which, by definition, are complex, variable and require a heightened degree of interactivity.

Today’s announcement continues Resolution’s growth strategy execution of partnering with leading BPM, ISV and SI partners to help them extend their value proposition and offerings to their customers. Appian’s BPM suite delivers advanced, fully integrated process, knowledge and analytics functionality that drives quantifiable ROI and facilitates the creation of next-generation, composite process solutions.

The marriage of BPM applications with BRE solutions has been a critical first step in helping companies successfully automate process-centric, context driven solutions that map strategy to performance. But as the pace of business change accelerates and as processes move out from the back office to the organizational edge and across multiple channels, the need for a rules-driven BPM solution that can deal with the pace, complexity and variability of edge processes has intensified

“By partnering with leading BRE providers like Resolution EBS, Appian is expanding its commitment to supporting technologies that are synergistic to BPM,” said Kevin Spurway, Vice President of Marketing for Appian. “Appian’s open, standards-based architecture enables organizations to seamlessly integrate best-of-breed tools and technologies that complement and enhance BPM. This partnership will allow customers to leverage Resolution’s advanced BRE features within the context of executable business processes through Appian’s powerful BPM suite.”

“Working with Appian complements our strategic direction and commitment to partnering with the industry leaders in BPM, ISV and SI market places,” said Resolution’s Jeff Klapp, vice president, Sales. “Not only do they provide superb solutions to an ‘A-list’ of customers, they have been repeatedly recognized for growth and leadership in the BPM space. Together, I foresee us providing something uniquely new and valuable to customers everywhere looking to thrive in today’s changing and fierce business climate.”
