Fiorano provided the following details:

In Butler Group’s Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Market Lifecycle Ratings, Fiorano is the only vendor present in the Outperform category across all three phases of the technology lifecycle projecting a leadership position from Early Adoption to Market Maturity. Butler Group rates vendors in Outperform category when the vendor has established a commanding market position with a product that is widely accepted as best-of-breed.

Butler classifies Fiorano as the market leader based on its strong showing across various integration technologies, including support for Messaging, Transformation & Connectivity, Routing, Orchestration and Service. Fiorano provides a powerful solution that encompasses a comprehensive application and process integration capability to strengthen the functionality and ease of use of the technology.

In the Early Adopter stage (2004-06), Butler Group has placed Fiorano in the Outperform category along with SeeBeyond, TIBCO, and webMethods. The report states that Fiorano’s approach based on its Business Component Architecture will resonate well in the market and that end-users will begin to seriously consider the component model offered by Fiorano. During the Market Maturity stage (2008-), Butler Group believes that the ESB will, to a large extent, be subsumed into larger integration platforms and Fiorano will be the only vendor to maintain an Outperform status in the mature market.

"We are pleased that Butler Group recognizes Fiorano’s strong product strategy and vision for the ESB market," said Atul Saini, CEO & CTO, Fiorano. "We are the only player in the market which provides a Business Component Architecture (BCA) built over an ESB platform. Many of our customers have used this technology for a quick path to SOA deployments."
