iWay Software, an an adaptive software provider, today announced that it received an Award for Excellence from the Integration Consortium. iWay was recognized for participating in a Showcase demonstration where vendors leveraged skills and technology to deliver a real-time a supply chain solution using a service oriented architecture (SOA) based business integration solution in just over 24 hours.
"We were honored to participate in the Showcase integration challenge," says John Senor, president of iWay Software. "We take any opportunity to show-off the ease of installation and flexibility of our adaptive software technology. We wish there were more challenges like this Showcase because we excel in real-world SOA projects."
The challenges encountered by all of those who participated included; time constraints, narrow band width and outages on site, and third party site complications, to name a few. The Showcase required creativity, collaboration, blood, sweat and tears by all of the participants to build a solution, quite a feat to achieve a result from scratch in 27 hours! And, all under the scrutiny of integration solution buyers it was not without its moments of pressure.
Michael Kuhbock, Founder and Co-Chairman of the IC adds "The IC has always taken the view that the end user community and the solution providers should be working closely together in order to share creative ideas and build technology that leads to best practices. A collaborative environment, such as the Annual Global Summit is an ideal platform for us to regularly assess the progress we, as an industry, have made. During the 2005 Summit, our members created an innovative event, the SOA Showcase, where end user delegates could put the vendor community through their paces. Building a solution in real-time and under intense pressure was not without risk and I am pleased that iWay were able to rise to the challenge and achieve the Award for Excellence(TM). We congratulate them on their achievement."
