iWay Adapters to Support Oracle BPEL Process Manager

06/06/2005

iWay Software today announced that it will support Oracle® BPEL Process Manager and will deliver iWay Software's Intelligent Adapters for application, data, e-business, network, Touchpoint, and transaction integration.

"We need to integrate our legacy CICS system running on DOS VSE with a new Web Order Management System," said Les Morton, Jr., manager of Web Services at Associated Wholesalers, Inc. "We believe that combining Oracle's integration platform with the iWay Adaptive Framework will be the perfect solution."

iWay added the following:

iWay Software adapters meet the demands for cost-effective and easy-to-implement solutions integrating disparate applications, transactions, and data across multiple technology platforms. Businesses require integration strategies that are flexible, but leverage the platforms and standards that they have adopted for their application infrastructures. With iWay's extensive set of adapters, companies do not need to choose their existing architecture over emerging technologies for a comprehensive integration solution, because iWay supports a broad range of platforms and standards, including Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE(TM)), Java Messaging Services (JMS), Java Connectivity Architecture (JCA), extensible mark-up language (XML), and Web services.

Oracle Application Server 10g, part of Oracle Fusion Middleware, is an application platform suite (APS) that offers a comprehensive solution for developing, integrating, and deploying enterprise applications, portals, and Web sites. It is the first application platform suite designed for grid computing, delivering unmatched availability and manageability coupled with world-record performance. Oracle Application Server 10g also enables service-oriented architectures modular, open systems that make it easy to integrate legacy systems and business applications.

"Oracle Application Server 10g and Oracle BPEL Process Manager illustrate Oracle's increased momentum in application integration," said Amlan Debnath, vice president of Server Technologies at Oracle. "By working with iWay and its Adaptive Framework the two companies are delivering enterprise-ready integration solutions to organizations of all sizes."

"iWay Software is fully committed to the success of its enterprise integration capable partners, like Oracle, and its customers," said John Senor, president of iWay Software. "We will continue to provide complementary solutions that simplify the integration of disparate IS assets. And, we will continue to lead in this market by evolving the form and function of the adapter technologies."

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
