Process Solutions to Sell ActionWorks in Pacific Rim

04/11/2005

Action Technologies, a firm specializing in increasing the productivity of knowledge workers, today announced that Process Solutions Pte. Ltd., (www.solutionsgroup.sg) a business process management solution provider based in Singapore, has joined Action’s Alliance Program. The company will develop solutions for the Asia-Pacific market based on Action's award-winning ActionWorks® suite.

Under terms of the agreement, Process Solutions will sell Action's software throughout the Pacific Rim, including Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and India.

A release said that ActionWorks is the only BPM software that models the “natural” ways that knowledge workers interact, rather than the task-based methodology found in other packages. Because ActionWorks is based on a system of negotiations and commitments, accountability rests with individual performers, instead of “someone.”

The company added that it has won more than 15 major industry awards and has been placed in the “visionary” quadrant in the Pure-Play BPM Magic Quadrant released by Gartner, Inc. for the last two years.

According to Clive Smith, President of Process Solutions: “Process Solutions is expanding our capacity to address the growing demand for business process management solutions addressing knowledge-worker productivity. After assessing many of the BPM options on the market, we determined the ActionWorks suite represents a high value solution to the unique business and knowledge-worker problems our customers are asking us to address.”

Jack Arnold, Senior Vice President of Action Technologies, said: “We have seen strong growth of our partners throughout the world, and Process Solutions represents a significant step for our partner program in the Asia Pacific region. With their technical capabilities and geographic coverage, we expect they will contribute strongly to the growing demand for improving knowledge-worker productivity in this part of the world. With today’s economic trends of outsourcing and globally deployed knowledge workers, Process Solutions will help leverage the delivery of high value processes, while providing local knowledge and resources.”

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
