Kerry Logistics Chooses webMethods' Enterprise Services Platform

webMethods, Inc. (Nasdaq: WEBM), a business integration software company, today announced that Kerry Logistics, a Third Party Logistics (3PL) service provider in the Asia Pacific region, has selected the webMethods Enterprise Services Platform, a key component of the webMethods Fabric(tm) product suite, to enable Kerry's customers to streamline and effectively monitor cargo movement and information across the entire supply chain.
Kerry Logistics will reportedly employ webMethods to power its eLogistics Hub solution, providing an end-to-end integration platform for supply chain management including inventory reporting, data warehousing, warehouse management and improved event visibility and management. Kerry's eLogistics Hub will provide a standard interface for its Warehouse and Inventory Management and Track and Trace systems, allowing customers to use EDI Electronic Data Interchange) and Web Services-based systems for order placement and tracking. By using webMethods, Kerry anticipates its customers will be able to reduce order inefficiencies, better manage inventory levels and improve end-user customer satisfaction levels, a release said.
