Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) today announced a strategic partnership with CAST. Compuware said it will integrate and resell CAST Quality Assessment Suite as a complement to the Compuware Application Reliability Solution (CARS), its comprehensive approach to quality management. The company said CARS combines automation support of established best practices with "award-winning technology, a proven methodology and expertise to help organizations deliver reliable business applications that provide maximum value."

"Together, we can offer our customers a way to proactively manage application quality with a complete solution that encompasses all functional, performance and technical aspects of quality management. As a result, they will obtain higher quality and faster applications, more aligned with business needs. We believe that the attractiveness of our combined offering will create significant new revenue opportunities for CAST."

Compuware said CAST Application Intelligence Platform empowers application management by automatically analyzing applications' source code and delivering essential Application Intelligence to IT organizations. CAST Quality Assessment Suite is a component of CAST Application Intelligence Platform. It seeks to enable programmable, action-oriented, technical quality assessment of most applications, across all tiers.
