11/02/2004

Segue Software (NASDAQ-SCM: SEGU), a provider of software quality optimization, and The Revere Group, business and technology consultants, today announced a strategic relationship to jointly deliver outsourced-managed performance monitoring services to users of PeopleSoft ERP solutions.

The joint offering is comprised of Segue’s SilkCentral Performance Manager, the company’s offering for monitoring software applications from the end-user perspective, and The Revere Group’s 24x7 comprehensive system management and customer support solutions to administer the applications. With this combination, the company said that customers instantly achieve world-class technology and experienced support personnel for ensuring their PeopleSoft ERP applications are functioning at optimal performance. They added that since thousands of enterprises rely upon PeopleSoft ERP solutions to run mission-critical business processes, it is essential that these applications perform at the highest levels possible.

“With our partnership, Segue and The Revere Group offer mutual customers the assurance that their PeopleSoft applications are functioning at consistent performance levels,” said Ronald Chambers, principal and PeopleSoft solution center leader of the Southeast region at The Revere Group. “With our experienced staff and Segue’s robust monitoring tools, customers receive around-the-clock, professional support for application monitoring services.”

“Our strategic relationship with The Revere Group offers customers a complete solution for their PeopleSoft ERP applications, comprised of premier monitoring tools and the staff to administer them,” said Rohit Gupta, vice president of alliances at Segue. “When the performance of mission critical applications is optimized, customers know their business will continue to operate at acceptable performance levels. However, when the inevitable issues occur, SilkCentral Performance Manager provides proactive notification to eliminate unplanned downtime.”

Segue shared the following additional information:

  • Segue's SilkCentral Performance Manager provides enterprises with maximum visibility into the health of software applications, once the applications are in production.

  • SilkCentral Performance Manager features enhanced drill-down capabilities and health trend indicators, allowing personnel responsible for the production system to pinpoint the root cause of performance degradation and errors.

  • Combined with The Revere Group’s expert IT services and support staff, the combined offering provides an immediate and effective outsourced solution for PeopleSoft ERP application monitoring.
