Informatica Technology Embedded Into Siebel's Enterprise Analytics

10/04/2004

Significantly expanding its current partnership with Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEBL), Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq: INFA) today announced that its data integration platform has been embedded as core technology powering Siebel's newly launched suite of enterprise analytic applications. Using Informatica data integration technology, Siebel Business Analytics customers can gain access to data from a wide range of enterprise sources including PeopleSoft, SAP and Oracle applications for financials, HR, and supply chain.

"Informatica has long been the data integration software of choice for Siebel, currently powering results for many of the most analytically sophisticated enterprises in the world," said Larry Barbetta, group vice president and general manager of Siebel Business Analytics. "We are very pleased to further expand our partnership with Informatica, helping our customers leverage the proven, market leading data integration capabilities of Informatica to extend our new line of analytic applications to gain powerful business insight, incorporating data from a rich selection of popular enterprise applications."

Since 2000, Siebel has provided Informatica software to customers as the foundation of its family of industry-leading customer analytic applications that offer senior executives insight into sales, service, and marketing. Under the expanded partnership, Informatica software will now also support Siebel's new enterprise analytic application families for customer, financial, workforce and supply chain analytics.

Siebel customers can also choose to leverage Informatica PowerExchange data access software for direct, non-invasive access to mainframe data. PowerExchange enables transparent mainframe changed data capture in support of real-time analytic environments requiring access to up-to-the-second operational data from legacy applications and systems. In addition, customers can use Informatica PowerCenter for broader operational data integration initiatives, such as data synchronization between Siebel, ERP, and other enterprise systems, or data migration from legacy systems.

Informatica Corporation is a provider of data integration software. More than 2,000 companies worldwide rely on Informatica for their end-to-end enterprise data integration needs. For more information, visit www.informatica.com.
