ORIX Australia Selects SeeBeyond ICAN 5 for CRM

09/13/2004

SeeBeyond (Nasdaq:SBYN), provider of the first fully integrated composite application network, today announced that ORIX Australia has firmed up plans to use the SeeBeyond ICAN 5 Suite. ORIX Australia is part of the global ORIX Group, one of the world's largest non-bank financial institutions with 1,175 offices in 23 countries. ORIX Australia manages in excess of $2 billion in assets locally.

"Using the SeeBeyond software to consolidate our customer information will allow us to make informed decisions about how we manage relationships with our customers. This has relevance across our entire organization, from marketing to sales, and customer service to risk management," said John Carter, executive director of group operations for ORIX Australia.

ORIX provides asset and risk management solutions for businesses, including fleet services, truck and trailer rental, equipment leasing, property finance, and cash flow finance. Customers use these products to minimize cost and risk associated with ownership, borrowing and leasing of assets.

ORIX Australia has chosen SeeBeyond's eGate(TM) Integrator, eView(TM) Studio and eInsight(TM) Business Process Manager -- all components of the SeeBeyond ICAN Suite - to build a new composite application that will enable a single view of all interactions with each of its customers. SeeBeyond company officials said that this composite application will assist ORIX Australia in cost-effectively consolidating disparate customer information and transactional data in real time.

"In today's business environment, vital information is distributed throughout the enterprise via disparate systems such as CRM, ERP, Billing, eCommerce and Customer Support," said Kevin O'Reilly, vice president of the Asia Pacific region for SeeBeyond.

"These systems typically use their own unique record identifiers, making it difficult to create a single, reliable view of information across the organization. Through composite application development, SeeBeyond ICAN 5 is enabling global organizations like ORIX to better leverage existing assets while driving added value through improved business process management," he said

Quick Guide: What is Enterprise 2.0?

A lot of people are talking about Enterprise 2.0 as being the business application of Web 2.0 technology. However, there's still some debate on exactly what this technology entails, how it applies to today's business models, and which components bring true value. Some use the term Enterprise 2.0 exclusively to describe the use of social networking technologies in the enterprise, while others use it to describe a web economy platform, or the technological framework behind such a platform. Still others say that Enterprise 2.0 is all of these things. Learn More
