Tacit Embellishes Symphony BPM Suite
06/10/2004
Tacit Systems, a provider of Business Process Management (BPM) and Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) systems software, released version 3.0 of Symphony , its “comprehensive, fully-integrated platform for BPM solutions.”
Tacit added these details:
The company began execution of its go to market plans in January 2004 and this release reflects architectural enhancements and extensions to the capabilities and features based on initial customer projects.
Tacit Systems was formed in 2001 to design and develop a comprehensive fully integrated technology platform that provides a single BPM solution for real-time business process integration, automation, execution, reporting, and monitoring. Tacit Systems Symphony was designed and engineered to address BPM issues from an “end-to-end” business process perspective rather than from a singular development, transaction or application specific perspective.
Symphony™ 3.0 includes architecture enhancements to the security and definition of roles, privileges and assignments as well as to the version controls for collaboration with business analysts. Symphony™ 3.0 supports a comprehensive Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) that can describe multiple resources and control and activate them based on certain needs and services, which need to be executed.
Symphony™ 3.0 features improve the user interface and navigation in defining process models, tasks, interactions and dependencies. These include the user's ability to define multiple variables or attributes and monitor their status and the flow of processes. Symphony™ 3.0 reporting features further refine how users view activities defined in process models as they execute such as exceptions, completed tasks and the progressive status of touch points.
“ Symphony™ 3.0 is a direct result of our initial five months of efforts and projects with our strategic partners and their customers”, said Doug Roberts president and CEO of Tacit Systems. “Our BPM Simplified approach is focused on producing results and our technology and development organization is designed to allow us to rapidly respond to business and market opportunities.”
